Navistar and GM Medium Duty Truck Deal Dead
Previously announced plans for Navistar to acquire
General Motor's medium duty truck business is dead.
GM will continue to run the medium duty business as
it has in the past, including providing sales, service
and marketing support to GM dealers for its medium
duty trucks. GM will continue to review strategic
options for the business, including continued
discussions with Navistar.

Mack Moving HQ to Greensboro, NC
Mack Trucks, Inc. announced a major restructuring
plan designed to further improve the company's
competitiveness and position it for long-term industry
leadership. Included in this plan is the moving of
Mack's administrative headquarters and most support
functions from Allentown, PA, to Greensboro, NC.

Volvo Unveils Fuelwatch Program to Maximize Fuel Economy
Volvo Trucks North America last week unveiled its
Fuelwatch initiative to help fleet managers and truck
operators achieve maximum fuel economy. Fuelwatch
is a comprehensive approach to get the most out of
each gallon of fuel, encompassing vehicle spec'ing,
maintenance, performance monitoring and driver
behavior. Volvo introduced Fuelwatch at the Great
American Trucking Show in Dallas.

Peterbilt and Kenworth Make New Synthetic Axle Lube Standard on All Models
PACCAR has announced that Kenworth and Peterbilt
trucks will be factory-filled with full synthetic axle lube,
making PACCAR the first company to make a new, full
synthetic axle lube standard on its Class 5-8 models
in the United States and Canada starting this
summer.

ConocoPhillips Introduces Triton ECT 5W40 Full Synthetic CJ-4 Diesel Engine Oil
ConocoPhillips recently introduced its new Triton ECT
5W40 Full Synthetic, a premium API CJ-4 diesel
engine oil designed for lubrication of modern low-
emissions diesel engines with aftertreatment devices
and is backward-copmatible for use in older engines
specifying the previous categories of engine oils.
Triton ECT 5W40 Full Synthetic will be available under
the Conoco, Phillips 66 and 76 Lubricants brands.

Concurrent with ConocoPhillips announcement last
week that the company has introduced its new Triton
ECT 5W40 Full Synthetic API CJ-4 diesel engine oil,
available under the Conoco, Phillips 66 and 76
Lubricants brands, ConocoPhillips has also
introduced Kendall SHP® Diesel 5W40 Full Synthetic
API CJ-4 diesel engine oil.
