Dofasco Tubular Products to Sell Elizabethtown Stainless Tube Making Facility
Dofasco Tubular Products Corporation have
announced the signing of a definitive purchase
agreement on the sale of its Elizabethtown, Kentucky
stainless tube making facility to Samuel Manu-Tech
Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario. Dofasco Tubular
Products stated that it engaged in the sale of its
Elizabethtown stainless steel tubing facility in order to
focus on its core carbon steel businesses of
Mechanical and Automotive tubing.

Roadranger Confirms Newest Generation Roadranger Lubes Improve Fuel Efficiency
Roadranger Marketing has released the results of
recent fuel economy tests revealing fuel savings of an
additional one percent with use of the newest
generation of Roadranger Synthetic Lubricants for
transmissions and axles. The tests, which compared
Roadranger Synthetic Lubricants to traditional
synthetic blends and semi-synthetic blends, included
those that were performed with two major U.S. fleets,
and a third that was conducted at the Southwest
Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas.

Eaton Revises Roadranger Products Approved Lubricants List
Eaton has again revised its Roadranger Products
Approved Lubricants List (TCMT0020), having just
done so last month, adding Roadranger FE 75W-90
and Cognis Emgard FE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle
Lubricant to the list of approved lubricants. This
Approved Lubricants List contains transmission and
drive axle lubricants approved by Eaton and Dana for
use with the Roadranger Extended Warranties.

Shell Retakes No. 1 Spot From ExxonMobil in Global Lubricants Market
Shell has reclaimed the number one position in the
world lubricants market, according to data from a
recently completed study by analysts at Kline &
Company. Primarily a result of its China operations,
Shell edged out its largest competitor, albeit by a slim
margin, just one year after ExxonMobil had achieved
the top position.

Terex and Polaris Laboratories Form Strategic Fluid Analysis Alliance
Terex Roadbuilding and POLARIS Laboratories
announced the implementation of the equipment
manufacturer's new Managed Maintenance Fluid
Analysis Program. The new program covers
equipment from Terex's mobile concrete and asphalt
lines including slipform pavers, trimmers, asphalt
pavers, cold planers, reclaimer/stabilizers and
material transfer vehicles.

Smurfit-Stone Agrees to Sell Brewton, Ala., Mill to Georgia-Pacific for $355 Million
Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation and Georgia-
Pacific LLC have announced that they have reached a
definitive agreement for Georgia-Pacific to purchase
the assets of the Brewton, Ala., white top linerboard
and bleached board mill from Smurfit-Stone for
approximately $355 million.
