Mack has revised its Approved EO-O Premium Plus Engine Oils List. This revised list contains 105 approved engine oils marketed by 61 suppliers, an increase of 42 approved engine oils compared to the March 30, 2007 EO-O Premium Plus Engine Oil Listing of Approved Oils.

Eaton has revised its Roadranger Products Approved Lubricants List (TCMT0020), adding and removing some lubricants, and calling out, or specifying which are 'fuel efficient' lubricants. This Approved Lubricants List contains transmission and drive axle lubricants approved by Eaton and Dana for use with the Roadranger Extended Warranties.

Until recently, essentially all fully synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oils have been API CI-4/CI-4 Plus performance level. Recently, ExxonMobil introduced a new formulation of Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 meeting or exceeding API CJ-4. Shell Lubricants has now introduced Shell Rotella(R) T Synthetic 5W-40 heavy-duty motor oil, which meets or exceeds API CJ- 4 specifications.

CITGO announced last week that it will implement list and customer specific price increases on all finished lubricants from 12% - 15% effective with shipments occurring on and after July 1, 2008. Shell also announced that effective Aug 5, 2008, it will implement a general price increase on finished lubricants of 15%. ConocoPhillips announced a price increase for all finished lubricants by up to 18%, effective Tuesday, July 1, 2008 and Petro-Canada announced that it will raise lubricant prices by up to 18% for all shipments on or after June 26, 2008.
