Caterpillar Revises Its Commercial Diesel Engine Fluids Recommendations Bulletin
Caterpillar has revised its Commercial Diesel Engine
Fluids Recommendations Bulletin, SEBU6251-10, for
use with all 3500 series, C175 series and smaller
commercial diesel engines. The primary revisions to
this bulletin include the incorporation and
modifications related to the Caterpillar Engine
Crankcase Fluid specifications ECF-1a, ECF-2, and
ECF-3, the API CJ-4 specification for 2007 engines,
use of ULSD, and use of Biodiesel, as well as coolant
testing differences.

Energy Information Administration Revises Down Summer Forecast for Diesel Fuel Prices Down; Retail Gasoline Price Outlook Raised
The Energy Information Administration said in its
Short-term Energy Outlook for June released last
week that it had lowered its projected average price for
retail diesel fuel by 7.5 cents to $2.815 per galllon,
while it projected that retail gasoline prices will remain
over $3.00 per gallon through the summer months.

Dow Announces Price Increase for DOWTHERM Heat Transfer Fluids
Dow Chemical Company has announced that it will
increase the North American list and off-list prices of
all DOWTHERM High-Temperature Thermal Fluids
by 9 percent effective July 1, 2007, or as contracts
allow.

Shell Lubricants Launches New Metalworking Fluids
Shell lubricants companies have launched new
additions to their portfolio of high performance, water
miscible metal working fluids for the US market. Shell
Metalina B 3650, Shell Sitala D 3403 and Shell Adrana
D 208 fluids have been specially formulated to help
address common concerns such as tool life, surface
finish, coolant odour and dermatitis.

Mori Seiki Establishes Mori Seiki University
Mori Seiki, a major manufacturer of machine tools,
announced that it held the grand opening ceremony
for its new Mori Seiki University facility on May 14,
2007. Dr. Masahiko Mori, president of Mori Seiki,
presided over a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new
8,100 sq.ft. facility constructed to house Mori Seiki
University, near his company's U.S. headquarters in
Rolling Meadows, Ill.
