Chevron Announces Another Finished Lube Price Increase
In a letter dated May 07, 2008, Chevron announced a
general price increase to be effective June 19, 2008.
Chevron will increase the prices of all lubricating oils,
gear lubes and greases by an average of 9% to 18%.
Chevron had previously announced increased lube
prices this past February 18, by 5% to 9%, to be
effective March 20.

Latest GM DexronŽ-VI Approved Fluids List
Last year, General Motors began publishing a list of
approved suppliers and oils, including respective
license numbers on its Web site for its DEXRONŽ-VI
automatic transmission fluid, in an effort to make it
easier for prospective customers to know which
companies have official licenses. On September 3,
2007, the OEM/Lube News published the list of
approved suppliers and oils to date. GM has since
then added additional suppliers and oils to this list.

DeloŽ Family Gets New CJ-4 Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil
Chevron's Delo brand of engine oils, lubricants and
coolants, has introduced the latest member of its
product family, DeloŽ 400 LE SAE 10W-30. The new
Delo 400 LE multigrade diesel oil is specifically
formulated for new low emission engines running on
Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel. This is the
second member of the Delo family to meet the API CJ-
4 engine oil specification. DeloŽ 400 LE SAE 15W-40,
which also meets API CJ-4, was introduced in October
of 2006.

New Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck Motor Oil Meets API CJ-4 and API SM
Further growing its line of premium motor oils,
ExxonMobil has introduced a new formulation of Mobil
1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40. This fully synthetic motor
oil meets or exceeds the CJ-4 and API SM industry
standards and continues the tradition of Mobil 1
products that maximize engine performance and help

ArvinMeritor to Spin Off Light Vehicle Systems Business, Focus on Commercial Vehicle Systems Business
ArvinMeritor has announced that its board of directors
has approved a plan to spin off its Light Vehicle
Systems (LVS) business to ArvinMeritor shareholders,
with the Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS)
business remaining with ArvinMeritor. ArvinMeritor's
commercial vehicle business is a leading supplier of
drivetrain components and systems for heavy- and
medium-duty trucks, trailers, buses, off-highway and
military vehicles as well as to the commercial vehicle
aftermarket.

Siemens Acquires "MORGOIL" Rolling Mill OEM Morgan Construction
Siemens has completed the acquisition of Morgan
Construction Co., a worldwide supplier of wire, bar
and billet mill equipment. Morgan Construction, based
in Worcester, Massachusetts, will be managed as a
Siemens Group Company by Siemens VAI Metals
Technologies, Linz/Austria, a business unit in the
Industry Solutions Division. Morgan Construction
designs and manufactures the MORGOIL Bearing, an
oil film, heavy load bearing for use on both ferrous and
nonferrous mills and hot and cold applications.

Solutia Raises Price Of Therminol Heat Transfer Fluids
Solutia Inc. has announced a price increase of
approximately 6 to 9 percent for its Therminol heat
transfer fluids, which are used in a variety of industrial
applications such as specialty chemical
manufacturing, plastic molding operations and natural
gas purification. Solutia is a world leader in synthetic
heat transfer fluids and is also the manufacturer of
Skydrol(r) aviation hydraulic fluid.
