Chevron Products Company today announced its API CJ-4 and API CI-4 PLUS heavy duty diesel engine oils meet the new Caterpillar ECF-2 specification. As of March 1, 2007, Caterpillar recommends the use of ECF-2 for pre-2007 on-road and any off-road Caterpillar engines no bigger than the C3500.

Chevron DeloŽ 400 LE Multigrade SAE 15W-40 has received formulation approval for Mercedes Benz diesel engine oil specification 228.31, covering all Mercedes-Benz diesel engines using Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs). Chevron Delo 400 LE, which already meets MB 228.3, was approved for the new specification without reformulation.
