Daimler Trucks North America Launches New Light Commercial Vehicle Group
Daimler Trucks North America has announced that it
has established a new Light Commercial Vehicle
Team, combining the resources of Sterling Truck
Corporation's Class 3-5 lines and Mitsubishi Fuso
brand low cab-over engine (LCOE) operations in
North America. This new Light Commercial Vehicle
operation will be based in Redford, Mich. and will
focus on the sales, marketing, product strategy and
distribution of the Sterling 360, the Sterling Bullet
and Mitsubishi Fuso Class 3-7 LCOE trucks.

Caterpillar Revises Its Machine Fluids Recommendations Bulletin
Caterpillar has revised its now 99 page Machine
Fluids Recommendation Bulletin SEBU6250 which
covers Caterpillar's most current recommendations
and specifications for lubricants, including greases,
and fuel and cooling system fluids for use in
Caterpillar engines and machine components. The
lubricant section alone is 51 pages in length. These
recommendations are for Caterpillar machines, such
as those used in earthmoving, not on-highway, nor
natural gas engines.

Rohm and Haas and Novasep to Market New Technology for Purification of Crude Glycerol From Biodiesel Processing
Rohm and Haas Company Ion Exchange Resins and
Novasep have announced their intent to form an
exclusive Alliance to market and sell new technology
for purification of crude glycerol by-product from
biodiesel processing. The Alliance will bring together
the expertise of two leaders in purification
technologies to offer a complete process solution for
crude glycerol purification. The territory for the Alliance
will be global.

Petrobras Considering Expanded Role in the U.S.
Petrobras is reportedly looking at increasing its U.S.
refining capacity, a larger role in the domestic biofuels
market and possibly Petrobras-branded gas stations
in the United States. Over the next five years,
Petrobras plans to invest US$4.9 billion in the United
States which accounts for approximately one-third of
its planned 2008 to 2012 investment outside Brazil.
